Hello Girls,

Sleek have one of my favorites and everyday blushers. I don't know if you see a trend in my blog but I'm all for quality products which are very affordable. These blushers are EXTREMELY pigmented and will definitely not disappoint. They are £4.49 which you can get from here.

There are 10 different shades (there might be some more exclusive colors which I don't know about) but I so far have only tried 3 (will definitely be purchasing some more inshallah). This variety in color means everyone will find a shade they will LOVE. They last all day and don't budge in my experience. I have been using them for more than 2 years now and hopefully this post will be useful for anyone who hasn't tried them or anyone who isn't sure what shade to get.

I have yet to find a brand that will steal my heart when it comes to powder blushers like sleek did.

Most of the blushers are matte but a few might be shimmery such as Pomegranate (which I rarely use, unless I am doing a fun makeup look AT HOME). It is just too out of my comfort zone tbh.

 Sahara and Life's a peach are the two I usually wear on my instagram makeup photos and on a daily bases (when I do wear makeup). When I am doing makeup for people and ask them which they would like they always get scared of Life's a peach as its a very bright orange but on the face it isn't bright at all.

Nars sheer glow! oh nars sheer glow.... Ok I need to stop being weird. I started using this foundation exactly four weeks ago. Its been on my wish list FOREVER! literally. Its been raved about by so many YouTubers and Bloggers and lets not forget instagram girl, basically a foundation which has been the TALK in the beauty industry.

I am using the shade "NEW GUINEA" an almost perfect match if it wasn't due to my hyperpigmentation but that's the case with every foundation, cant get my perfect shade as I'm not one color.



I little background on my experience with foundation. I first tried a color Lighter than me lol which can be seen on my previous post (Makeup for beginners) and then went to MAC to get myself the Studio fix foundation which broke me out and was FULL FULL coverage (which I personally don't like). I then went on to try Revlon Photoready which contained glitter/shimmer (so annoying) and then the Revlon Colorstay took my heart (Drug store FAVORITE). I then tried a bunch of others which I didn't like but this one took a piece of my heart.

I cant find a single flaw that's not true I just remember one thing that disappointed me as soon as I got home. The PACKAGING! the black box is cute and love the Nars logo but I am talking about the actual bottle!!! Its a glass bottle with a textured lid, which has NO PUMP! What theeeeeeeeee........ the worst thing is the lady at the counter didn't tell me it wouldn't have a pump, if she did I would have at least bought myself one. Without a pump the product is easily wasted as the amount coming out cannot be controlled.

Makeup Revolution has easily becoming one of my favorite brands. So many amazing products yet so affordable. I will be reviewing my first palette "REDEMPTION PALETTE ICONIC 2". 

This palette is a very neutral palette (which I LOVE) I love anything neutral. It contains 3 matte shades and 9 shimmery shades.

Bummer the shades don't have names would be easier to refer to them but oh well.

Shade 1: A white/cream matte color which is ideal for using as a base to help neutralize the lid color.
Shade 2: MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE - an amazing gold color which is to dieeeeee for.
Shade 3: This is a light silver shimmery color.
Shade 4: This is a nice rose gold shimmery color.

Shade 5: A brown/mauve matte color perfect for a subtle Smokey eye or a transition color for darker eye shadows.
Shade 6: A copper color which I personally find so beautiful.
Shade 7: This color is hard to describe but I will try, it is a shimmery color which a hint of light pink.
Shade 8: A dark silver shimmery color.


Shade 9: This is a shimmery color which has a very small  hint of purple (undertone).
Shade 10: A Champaign color.
Shade 11: A shimmery brown color.
Shade 12: A black matte color which I LOVE and always use when working with this palette.

I created this makeup look using this palette using shade 2 and shade 5.

I little history about me and my obsession with makeup. I first started wearing makeup at around the age of 16/17, but this was only eyeliner (kohl) and lip balm. At the age of 18 my friend introduced me to YouTube and she wore makeup really well which was what initially got me into makeup. I have since then been buying and trying makeup for approx. 5 years . Makeup is amazing but it can be a little overwhelming when going shopping as there is so much to choose from.

A little funny story, the first time I bought foundation was probably age 17/18 and guess what happened. I bought the Rimmel wake me up foundation.

Yes, you can laugh at me. I honestly don't what on earth I was thinking. I kept it because it reminds me of my beginner days. I hope you girls find this post useful.

I know a lot of girls are afraid foundation will ruin their skin but that's far from the truth. As long as you take care of your skin and DO NOT SLEEP with makeup you will be absolutely fine.



1. Foundation or a BB cream for an even complexion and a clean base for the rest of the makeup. I would recommend the Revlon Colourstay which is my absolute favorite drug store foundation and concealer.
2. A concealer a shade or two lighter to conceal and brighten under eyes.
  *Tip: Mix your foundation with your moisturizer to get a very natural bb effect.




3. Blusher - I would recommend getting an affordable blush palette for beginners, that way you can use different colours to find out which blush shades you like the most. This makeup revolution blush palette has 8 blushers to choose from and its only 6 pounds here

Cream blushers are amazing as they are so blend-able and easy to work with. I would recommend applying it with your fingers and then blending it out with a brush or beauty blender.



4. Brush - this real techniques multi-task brush is a MUST for beginners as it can be used for a variety of things.

5. Brows - you know we all want our brows to be on FLEEK! An eyebrow kit is essential for anyone wanting their brows to look well groomed and presentable.

6. Lips - when I was a beginner I used to wear tinted lip balms but I think this are an amazing option. These are the Revlon lip butters, they are so moisturizing and give a hint of color.








These are some of the products I would recommend to a beginner. Last advice: try to read up on reviews before going makeup shopping so you don't waste money on products that aren't worth the money or quality.

Hello girls,

Makeup can be a savior! it can magically make your pores/nose appear smaller, skin look more even and make you feel like a beautiful princess BUT without proper care makeup can ruin you. This is where skincare comes into context. Skincare is VERY important for flawless skin and amazing makeup application, especially foundation. Foundation can make your skin appear more flawless and even but if your base/skin under it isn't clean then it could make the foundation appear dry and not very flattering.

What I do to take care of my skin:

I do ALOT to take care of my skin as I don't like wearing makeup on a daily bases. This post could potentially be a very LONG post but I want to keep it short and sweet.

1. Steaming - this helps to lift off all the dirt from the skin and open the pores to prepare for skincare products. Fill up a large bowl with hot (don't burn yourself) water and get a towel and place it over your head and the bowl for 5 minutes.

2. Masks - Applying a mask is great straight after steaming. You can buy already made masks or just use the ingredients in your kitchen to make your own (which is the option I go for). If you would like me to share my recipes let me know (I have soooo many to share).

3. Exfoliating - A lot of people seem to think its not a good idea to exfoliate daily, in my opinion it depends on how and what you use to exfoliate. A natural and less aggressive option is mixing sugar with honey, a very gently way to exfoliate the dead skin and replenish the moisture to your skin.

4. Moisturizing - After this I usually apply my FAVOURITE CHEAP cream by boots - a cucumber moisturizer for all skin types Boots cucumber moisturizing cream. I honestly cannot believe how effective this cream is and how affordable it is.

This is what I do at least twice a week. I have also recently added a step 5 which is something really exciting. DERMAROLLING! - I apply my  L'Oreal advanced correcting serumand derma roll. Dermarolling is when you use a tool which has really small needles, and roll it around your face. It creates micro holes on your face allowing the skin care products to be easily absorbed. I will be doing a review on this in a couple of months (inshallah).

I was planning on going straight into blogging but thought an intro would be much more appropriate first post. My screen name is Modsteha. I am a makeup enthusiast as many call it. I'm obsessed with anything beauty to be honest.

I recently started sharing my makeup looks on instagram (Modsteha) and thought a blog would be a great addition.

I plan on reviewing a lot of beauty products I have been loving. Sharing links to any great deals and also sharing my makeup tips and tricks I have learnt along the way. I will also be sharing other things such outfit posts or abaya/hijab reviews inshallah.
